What People's Say About Place

A true bar and grill. Excellent food and service. The drinks are great, beer is ice cold, & the layout is cool. There are lawn games in the back and a sweet patio to enjoy. We had no wait when we went for a lunch visit but be prepared, dinner is popular and there was a nominal wait of 25-30 mins alongside other folks. It is genuinely worth it though. It's fun to see the bustle. I want merch next time!

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon about 3:30. It was over half-full at that point and the servers were bustling! Service was friendly but a bit slow over our visit. We shared the cheese curds appetizer, which was great. For main dishes, my son created a meal by combining the appetizer chicken tenders with a side of fries. It was a LOT of food, and very good. He brought about half the tenders home. I had a chunk of a tender, too, and really enjoyed it. My husband had the southwest burger with tots. The tots were huge, like little barrels! I had the weekend special, a winter grilled cheese. To grab the description from their social media: "Brie, bacon, apples, hot honey, and white cheddar on cranberry wild rice bread." It was extremely good. I had potato salad on the side, and I have to say, it was probably about the best not-homemade potato salad I 've ever had. Incredibly fresh. I had an apple cider mule to drink, too. I really loved the woodsy, homey vibe, too. As we were there in December, there was lots of Christmas decor.

This was this week's burger adventure and was worth the drive. Had smash burger and sweet potato waffle fries. Both were very good with the perfect amount of grease in the burger for flavor and juicyness. Service was top notch and they had ice cold premium.

Found this little bar while googling restaurants on our way home from the cities. It’s not a huge place and was packed but we were seated right away. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was great. We all had burgers and fries. We definitely could have shared the fries between the 3 of us since there was a large portion of them with each burger. The pickle wrap burger I had was good and the fried pickles were great! The burgers were not dry and were perfectly cooked. I would definitely recommend and would come back again to try something else on the menu.

I was pretty drunk when I came here but from what I remember the walleye sandwhich was good, better than most I've had. The sweet potato waffle fries were amazing. They were probably my favorite thing there. The old fashioned was really good also. It didn't taste straight alcohol, it had some other sweetness to it. The place was fairly on the smaller side.

Best hidden gem in all of Minnesota! I've been here several times over the last couple months and every time it's a breath of fresh air compared to the city. All of the food is delicious, full of flavor, and presented excellently. I just wish I would have remembered to buy a t shirt or some other memorabilia last time I went

Loved Dan's bar food was excellent atmosphere family friendly quick service

Attended first day of lent. We had a reservation for 10. Seated immediately. Waitress was very attentive and patient. The fish, fries and coslaw was delicious. Light batter, nice size pieces and fish was real white! Everyone's food was hot and served at the same time. The tartar sauce is very good and served in a big squeeze bottle so you don't run out;) Also, the old fashion is worth the cost.
